Senior Treasury role in an ASX10 listed companyWork with some of Australia's most iconic retail, industrial and health businessesUnique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of commercial issues, strategic projects and M&A transactionsCommercial, results-oriented, flexible and collegial work environmentNewly created, full-time permanent role based in Perth CBDAbout the teamThe Group Treasury team acts as the in-house "banker" to our businesses, supporting them with daily banking and liquidity; management of foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity risk; and working capital efficiency.In addition, the team is responsible for corporate balance sheet management, particularly in relation to long-term funding, dividend policy, capital management; maintaining strong relationships with the Group's funding providers and rating agencies; and ensuring financial risk management objectives are met.
The team also supports the Wesfarmers' Group acquisition and divestment activities and strategic growth initiativesWhat you'll doAs part of a tight-knit, collaborative, strategic and commercial team, this role will manage treasury reporting and analytics, implement key Group Treasury systems and lead strategic projects as required.Key responsibilities include:Assist the Group Treasurer to manage corporate level financial risksLead the preparation of treasury governance and risk reporting including reporting to the Wesfarmers BoardWork closely with the Group Treasurer to regularly review and update the Group Treasury Policy and related Wesfarmers Group policiesLead work to support the implementation of a new treasury management system, liquidity management system and a supply chain finance platformProvide treasury advice in respect of a diverse range of businesses and commercial transactions, including potential M&A and other growth opportunitiesWhat you'll needAt least 10 years' experience in a key contributor and/or leadership role within a treasury team of an ASX listed companyExperience across all key areas of treasury markets, operations and systems; funding; derivatives; trade finance; and risk assessment and managementBe highly numerical, and have a strong proficiency in financial analysis and modelling skillsDemonstrated ability to apply commercial thinking and judgementStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a drive for delivering resultsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detailStrong stakeholder, transaction and project management skills to lead projects within the team and for our businessesAbility to lead the team through change and periods of work intensityHigh integrity – hold yourself and the team to the highest standards when dealing with counterparties, and in confidential situationsTertiary qualification in a relevant disciplineAbout WesfarmersAs one of Australia's largest listed companies, we're proud of our longstanding contribution to Australians.
