About the Role In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Frameworkand the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.
Your contribution will include: Coordinate and oversee Patient Support Services (PSS) staff to ensure all portering, linen, CELS and helpdesk services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards, workplace health and safety requirements, risk management principles, and current legislative obligations.
Provide portering support when required, such as during busy periods, to assist new staff, or to cover team breaks.
This includes work in infectious Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, positioning and transporting patients, collecting soiled linen and delivering clean linen, transporting medical equipment, collecting specimens, supporting helicopter arrivals, assisting with the help desk, and working in specialist areas such as theatres.
Conduct regular rounding throughout the shift to provide hands-on support, monitor task execution, and ensure high standards of portering, linen, CELS and helpdesk services are maintained.
