**The Role**

The recent business growth of our Defence business has created an exciting opportunity for a State Delivery Lead for our QLD and NT operations.

Key Accountabilities:

- Responsible for the effective management and delivery of Defence projects in QLD and NT
- Provides leadership on Defence specific requirements e.g. Defence specific standards, DEQMS, etc.
- Contributing to the development, management and promotion of national business plan, annual growth targets and growth strategy in conjunction with the broader BG&E strategy and leadership teams
- Provide leadership to all members of the Defence project teams
- Manage the finances of projects, within approved budget constraints
- Contribute to the development and management of a robust Defence project pipeline of work in QLD and NT
- Contribute to the development of winning proposals
- Maintain and develop new and existing relationships at all levels, from subconsultants to strategic partnerships
- Client engagement activities with key defence clients and partners

**About You**
- Minimum of 5 years of prior experience within the Defence sector
- Australian Citizen (preferably with active or previous Baseline Clearance)
- A demonstrable understanding of State and Federal Government project management frameworks
- Knowledge and understanding of Defence's procurement and management systems and processes.
- Demonstrated experience in management and coordination of delivery teams
- Maintains a strong network of contractors and other consultants within the Defence sector
- Ability to provide strategic advice to clients and oversee procurement processes
