Easy Authoring is seeking an experienced Assistant Forester to implement forest planning, information management and operational tasks

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Assist foresters to implement forest planning, information management and operational tasks across all aspects of silviculture, harvesting and marketing of products and services including timber and social values of the forest.
- Use MS Office, mobile technology and several specialist software packages (training will be provided) to plan and report on forest treatments at a site-specific level

Software packages include:

- Spatial Planning and Report Query System (SPARQS)
- Forest Inventory Resource System (FIRS)
- Forest Inventory Resource System data capture (FIRS/DC)
- Contribute to operational management and implementation of Workplace Health and Safety programs and the Respect Equity and Diversity framework.
- This position does not involve direct supervision of staff

**Essential criteria**:

- Attending forest related studies (Environmental science, Environmental management, Forestry, etc.) at any Australian University or tertiary institution, or hold a Bachelor or master's degree in any of these disciplines.
- Australian drivers' license.
