Job Summary

Role Description

Main Tasks of UPHOLSTERER: Select the material according to the specifications and requirements of the clients. Study the drawings; estimate the length, height, width of the work to be done. Repair the furniture and fixtures, adjust and replace webbing, padding, springs etc. Cut the required material by marking cutting lines, design ply and wood as per the specifications or requirement of the furniture. Discuss upholstery fabrics to be use, colors and styles with customers and provide the cost estimate to them. Build the defective and broken wooden furniture, wooden frames and other wooden fixtures by using different tools. Cut the new covering material after the measurement using pattern and cutting tools, following the design specification.

**Required Skills**:
Follow the safety rules and regulations at the work place and maintain safe and clean environment. Co-ordinate with the other staff members and junior workers.
