**Overview**
The Team Leader Ageing and Disability Reform, Business Support Unit is responsible to the Manager Ageing and Disability, for the oversight, management and support of the Ageing and Disability Business Support Unit functions. The Business Support Unit provides centralised aged care and disability business support to regional Local Health Networks (rLHNs), supporting them to ensure effective and efficient Commonwealth Aged Care program delivery.
The Team Leader will ensure effective and efficient coordination and administration of the Business Support Unit (BSU) within the philosophy, objectives and policies of the six Regional LHNs and ensuring compliance with Commonwealth program legislation and compliance parameters.
The Team Leader will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the BSU team, including performance management, training requirements, claims management and rLHN team support and training.
The BSU is proactive in responding to change and innovative in its approach to providing administration, reporting and system compliance for Commonwealth funded aged care and disability programs including NDIS and HCP programs by:
- Providing change management support and process redesign in response to relevant Commonwealth reforms.
- Optimising revenue through financial reconciliation and claiming processes.
- Collaborating with Digital Health for eclaiming and other required system and portal integration and upgrade management.
- Providing a quality assurance program to data submissions, legislative compliance, and reporting processes.
- Collaborating with Regional Local Health Network (rLHN) teams to enhance the consumer experience and quality of service when accessing Commonwealth funded aged or disability care services.
