**About the role**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lawyer to join our high performing, friendly and innovative Commercial Disputes team, which services a broad mix of clients including large corporations, SMEs, high net worth individuals, local councils and government. We are looking for a Lawyer who has the drive and capacity to succeed. Experience in building and construction will be regarded favourably.

While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely.

**About you**
- 1-2 years PQE working on a variety of commercial dispute cases, including construction disputes
- Strong knowledge of court practice and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong research and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent time management and ability to work to meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

The following skills/experience are desirable:

- Knowledge of SOPA legislation in each state and experienced with adjudications (both for claimants and respondents)
- Experience with Delay costs disputes and liquidated damages
- Experience with NCAT home building matters
- Experience with defects disputes
- Familiarity with standard form building contracts
- Working with building experts and report preparation on technical issues
