We are seeking a skilled Senior Associate to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and dispute resolution, with experience in managing commercial disputes and insolvency matters.

The successful applicant will work closely with Principals and a high-performing team on a wide variety of disputes, including insolvency and bankruptcy matters. This role offers the chance to take real ownership of cases, mentor junior lawyers, and progress their career in a supportive national practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse range of commercial disputes and insolvency matters
  • Advise insolvency practitioners and directors on restructuring and recovery strategies
  • Work across asset sales, capital raising, debt recovery, receiverships, and safe harbour advice
  • Provide PPSA advice to secured creditors and manage litigation in multiple jurisdictions
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Collaborate with colleagues nationally and contribute to business development initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior lawyers within the team
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' PAE in litigation and dispute resolution (insolvency experience highly regarded)
  • Strong technical, drafting, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently and deliver practical, commercial outcomes
  • Proven experience in advising on insolvency, restructuring, and directors' duties
  • Excellent client relationship skills and collaborative team mindset
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring capability
