Overview
As a Senior Sonographer (+ / - Radiographer), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ultrasound services (and radiography as required) within a supportive, interprofessional medical imaging team at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
In this role you will:
Provide evidence-based ultrasound (+ / - radiography) services to patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Act as a clinical reference point, contributing to service development, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Supervise, educate, and mentor HP3 clinicians, students, and clinical assistants to support skill development and service delivery.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centred outcomes while promoting continuous improvement in imaging services.
Qualifications
About you: We are seeking an experienced and accredited sonographer who thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
To succeed in this role, you will bring :
Demonstrated expertise in delivering complex ultrasound (+ / - radiography) services with a high level of clinical judgement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior staff and students.
