ABOUT YOU An enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in the livestock industry and a desire to grow your career in procurement and supply chain operations.
Ideally, you have some demonstrated experience or exposure to the livestock supply chain and are eager to expand your knowledge in a hands-on environment.
You bring with you: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Strong skills in project planning, coordination, and the ability to see tasks through to completion Experience preparing and delivering clear, professional presentations tailored to a range of audiences Confidence in analysing and interpreting data to support sound decision-making A high level of emotional intelligence, with strong interpersonal and communication skills that support effective collaboration across teams YOUR RESPONSILBITIES As a Trainee in Livestock Procurement, you will work closely with the Livestock team to support the end-to-end supply chain process.
Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting with livestock purchasing execution to meet supply, specification, and price targets Supporting the development of livestock programs that align with sales demand and customer expectations Contributing to the coordination of livestock logistics to ensure production schedules and targets are achieved Liaising with Livestock Coordinators to align procurement and scheduling with production planning Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on livestock pricing trends, considering key market and industry drivers Supporting the development and maintenance of feedlot costing models to ensure cost-effectiveness and transparency Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the Livestock Central system Facilitating professional and efficient information flow between Livestock Procurement and internal/external stakeholders Actively participating in meetings and forums related to livestock procurement and broader industry discussions Proactively identifying and escalating potential risks or opportunities to the Head of Livestock BENEFITS Full Time employment Live and work on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
