You will be joining a national top-tier construction organisation, with specialist teams providing complex new build and refurbishment projects across the health, sciences, education, civic project sectors.
As the Project or Senior Project Manager (dependent on experience) you will be reporting into the Construction Director, leading a small team across one to two projects at a time (dependent on project size complexity), overseeing the financial performance, interacting with the client, managing project deliverables and the skills/development of your team.
Whilst the business delivers projects within the $10M through to $40M - this role requires a Senior level Project Manager who is comfortable and experienced delivering relevant complex projects, in excess of $15M.
Due to the ongoing project opportunities in this specialist project space, you will be heading up a new project team, adding to the 5 other project teams within the business - growing a team of CA's and Site Managers to deliver your project portfolio.
Does this suit you?
If you are experienced delivering health, university, or scientific related projects (think operating theatres, research facilities, complex heritage buildings etc) for a head contractor, have good tenure in previous roles (shown stability and not jumped around too frequently), you enjoy the responsibility of leading and developing less experienced construction professionals, and take a positive and collaborative approach to your client and project stakeholder interactions - we'd love to hear from you
Should you apply?
If you are looking for a new challenging construction Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role, you will be considered suitable if you meet the following criteria:
Must have a number of years (5+) as a Project Manager within a head contractor (buildings not civil/infra), and have a good reputation with local sub-contractors delivering these types of projects
Have experience delivering technically tricky builds – from the above-noted project types, over $15M
A talent for communication and collaboration
Must be a polished character, with strong leadership traits, and comfortable with client and stakeholder management
