We are seeking a support worker to provide support for a teenage boy with sensory challenges needing in home services living in Schofields (NDIS).

The service would require predominantly meal prep with cooking and cleaning up afterwards, maybe some folding of clothes or hanging the laundry out. The support worker needs to be able to cook Northern Indian food.

2 days per week 2-3 hours per shift preferably (Tuesdays and Thursday. Can be a little flexible with times and possibly days.

Home Caring Kellyville is an ethical and fast-growing provider of NDIS services in North Western Sydney.

Our Support Workers are home-based and utilise a mobile work model (with electronic support for administration), attracting a travel reimbursement and ongoing training opportunities, appropriate to client need.

**Requirements**:

- A genuine passion to work alongside participants/the elderly and to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
- Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors
- Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
- A sense of humour (another bonus - not a requirement)
- Resilience and compassion
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field preferred
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current National Police check
- Current NSW Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in Australia
- Full Covid-19 vaccination
- Different cultural backgrounds welcome, but not necessary

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Work Location: In person
