**Position Information**:
Boorowa Central School is a farming town located in the Hilltops region in the South West Slopes of New South Wales. Boorowa Central School is vibrant and inclusive with 260 students. Approximately 12% of the students are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Students at Boorowa Central school have access to state of art technology in every learning space and excellent facilities, which include a Commercial Kitchen, a Trade Training Centre and an 'Innovation Center', fully stocked with resources that provide opportunities for students in K-12 to experience 'hands-on' learning in a range of curriculum areas. The school is staffed by a blend of expert, experienced and enthusiastic staff who deliver high quality, teaching and learning activities in all classrooms. The school is well supported by a highly engaged P and C committee and the wider community which leads to greater outcomes for all students. The successful applicant will possess the educational leadership skills to develop the capacity of an experienced TAS / CAPA faculty. Their knowledge of curriculum and best practice in teaching and assessment will lead to the collaborative design of excellent, inclusive teaching and learning programs.

**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

1. Approval to teach Stage 4 Technology Mandatory, Stage 6 Textiles and Design and Stage 6 Hospitality Food and Beverage. Willingness to teach Stage 6 Design and Technology.

2. Demonstrated capacity in using data to lead evaluative practices to improve high-impact teaching, learning and assessment.

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.

4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
