About the roleTimberfy is a leading manufacturer of custom-made furniture and cabinetry.
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker / Furniture Maker to join our team in our state-of-the-art workshop in Sunshine West, VIC.
This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, bespoke furniture and cabinetry to the highest standard.
What you'll be doing
Working with a range of solid hardwood timbers and veneers - cabinets, dining tables, chairs etc.
Laminating solid timber panels and components
Operating equipment such as a planer/drum sander, laminating press, panel saw, router etc.
Hand applying timber veneers to curved substrates
Interpreting design plans and schematics to create custom furniture and cabinetry pieces
Operating a range of woodworking machinery and tools to shape, join, and finish timber components
Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
Collaborating with the design team to refine and improve product designs
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
Providing guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the production team
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in Cabinet Making or a related Trades field
Apprentices welcome to apply
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cabinet Maker or Furniture Maker, preferably in a commercial manufacturing environment
Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery and hand tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
