The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding, supportive mining team at Mt Holland. You will provide operational support to the Mt Holland Technical Services team for short and medium planning horizons, including drill and blast designs, schedules, mine/infrastructure designs, and development projects. You will also assist in monitoring the mining contractor and reviewing, improving and conforming the contractor plans, and supporting commercial clarification and information.
This is a full-time, permanent role on an 8:6 roster to Mt Holland, from Perth.
Role Responsibilities
Participate in establishing an inclusive and safe health and safety culture in Mine Tech Services and at Mt Holland.
Provide technical input to mine operations including: mine planning; mine, landform, and infrastructure design; drill and blast design and QA/QC; progress reporting; contractor management; mining methodology.
Develop, communicate, and support Mt Holland short-term planning (48 hours, 2 weeks and Integrated Monthly Plan (IMP)); coordinate inputs, lead pre-planning meetings, complete the plan, and roll out to the business and contractors.
Ensure plan compliance is measured and reported with improvements and actions as needed.
Assist in completing Integrated Quarterly Planning (IQP), Life of Mine (LOM) and annual budget plans; assist in site activity reporting including budget/forecast alignment.
Ensure compliance with approvals and reporting requirements; participate in reviews and understand the LOM and expansion study projects.
Drive safe mining operation philosophy and performance; assist with Geotechnical data preparation.
Role Requirements
Degree qualified in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience.
2–5 years' experience in open pit, hard rock mining operations and mine planning, preferably with lithium exposure.
Drill and blast experience; experience managing complex mining contracts.
Mine software skills, including Alastri production and tactical scheduler software, Deswik and ShotPlus.
Unrestricted WA Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency is desirable.
