About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified Environmental Field Officer to join our team. This role is central to our environmental compliance and sustainability efforts, with a strong focus on field monitoring, data analysis, report writing, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and analyse environmental data from field sources including waterways, gas bores, and climate stations.
Monitor and report on consent compliance across landfill, effluent, sediment, water quality and gas systems.
Support wetland restoration and planting programmes.
Lead community liaison efforts and respond to environmental complaints.
Review and update environmental management plans and monitoring methodologies.
Facilitate independent environmental reviews and site inspections.
Assess new waste streams and advise on environmental risks.
Optimise landfill gas collection and destruction systems.
Promote AB Lime's environmental initiatives through school visits, field days, and presentations.
What We're Looking For
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Resource Management, or Environmental Sciences (required under consent conditions).
Minimum 3+ years in a similar role (5+ years preferred).
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Experience with environmental monitoring equipment and GIS tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
