Design Assistant - Country Road (Childrenswear - FTC) Apply now Job no: 999695Work type: Full-TimeLocation: Melbourne - CBD & InnerCategories: Design & DevelopmentPurposeAn exciting opportunity for a Design Assistant to join the Country Road Childrenswear team, supporting the design team with product samples, administration, fit, storyboards and range concepts, ensuring the quality of apparel is maintained through the development and production stages.
Please note that this is a 10 month FTC and you must be available to start within a few weeks Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the design team to develop range conceptsAttend fitting to ensure continuation of style development processAttend all fit meetings and other associated meetings which will impact upon the range developmentSelect all trims for the range to be signed off by the Designer to ensure the look and values of the brand are maintainedSource, execute and design any creative, conceptual work required for pre-sell or sell presentation to ensure clarity and consistency at all timesConceptualise monthly storyboards in form of mood and colourSourcing & development of fabricsLiaise with the suppliers to monitor the development, availability, lead-time and costs.Key CapabilitiesA tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles is preferredExperience with illustration software packagesExperience having worked in a similar design led role in a fashion business would be beneficialExcellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally across the businessExcellent attention to detailWorking well within a team.Why work for CRG?
