The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia is looking to secure an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Publications Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Flight Crew Operations. This role will support the E-7 AEW&C programs, which provide a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system. The role can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Newcastle.

**Responsibilities**:
**AEW&C SME responsibilities will include**:

- Utilising your flight crew experience, liaise with customer (Defence) flight crew and engineering personnel for the development and update of aircraft operation manuals;
- Reviewing and assigning critical and routine operation publication revision tasks on behalf of AEW&C customers;
- Communicating clear instructions for incorporation of operation publication tasks to ensure cost, schedule and quality targets are met; and
- Working closely with AEW&C Coordinators and Project Execution Leads to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications
- Flight Crew / Pilots who are looking for a more stable work life (being home each night, tired of living out of a suitcase) are encouraged to apply.
- Boeing 737 experience would be highly regarded.
- The ability to evaluate engineering source data and its impact on aircraft operations
- Experience in authoring technical publications.
- The ability to communicate effectively with flight crew and engineering personnel from diverse stakeholder groups.
- Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting 1)
- Current Australian Citizenship
- Knowledge of military aircraft and/or systems.
