Responsibilities
Independently provide high-level contemporary speech pathology clinical services to eligible inpatients and outpatients of Hervey Bay Hospital and Maryborough Hospital.
Contribute to the advancement of speech pathology and multidisciplinary services across the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (South) through clinical leadership, governance, supervision and professional advocacy.
Be actively involved in service development, quality improvement, education and research activities.
Operationally and professionally report to the Director of Speech Pathology, Maryborough Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospital, Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
What we're looking for
Clinical Expertise
Demonstrated high-level clinical competence, experience and knowledge in the speech pathology management of adult clients with communication and swallowing disorders, with an emphasis on quality client outcomes.
Communication
Ability to provide clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors and stakeholders regarding service delivery, prioritisation and development of speech pathology and multidisciplinary services.
Leadership
Experience in clinical practice supervision and in monitoring, developing and supporting the professional competency standards of staff.
Ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Mandatory possession of a qualification as a Speech Pathologist from a registered tertiary institution (or equivalent) and current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Appointment requires proof of qualification and, if applicable, registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
Certified copies must be provided prior to commencement of clinical duties.

Offer and Benefits
Competitive remuneration up to A$157,360 per annum (F/T), with salary between A$128,169 and A$137,918 p.a. (F/T) or hourly rates between A$64.64 and A$69.55 (P/T).
Employer contributions to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%).
Several permanent full-time and part-time positions available.
