**Operator**:
**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to use your experience and work ethic to contribute to key production outputs and work in a team that is passionate about achieving targeted outcomes for the business. This is a full-time 6-month fixed term position with potential for permanent employment.

Reporting into Shift Supervisor our Laverton Meltshop Operators are responsible for a number of tasks in support of production including:

- Overhead crane operations
- Steel Mill production operations
- Support our Goal Zero safety target
- Delivering high quality work tasks
- Contributing to Laverton Steel Mill in general
- 24/7 Operation with 12 hour rotating shift-based roster

**About your experience**:
We are looking for individuals with a can-do attitude and strong initiative who enjoy working both as part of a team and autonomously.
- Safety is a core value, therefore an understanding of legislative safety requirements and standards and specifications is desirable
- A high-risk forklift license essential and overhead crane experience would be desirable
- Previous experience in similar roles in heavy industry or manufacturing experience would be desirable
- Trade background is advantageous.
