The Hannah's House Team are seeking passionate support workers to provide care and connection for individuals with disabilities, complex care needs, and life-limiting conditions.In this rewarding role, you'll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment where respect, inclusion, and compassion are at the heart of everything we do.You'll build trusting relationships, support emotional and physical wellbeing, and help children and young people live with dignity and joy-no matter their circumstances.What You'll Be Doing:Offer personalised support to our client in and around the Mandurah areaWorkmorning, afternoon, orweekend shifts, ranging from 2 to 10hoursCover existing shifts, including sick leave and annual leave as neededIf you're patient, adaptable, and ready to bring your warmth and professional skills to a deeply human mission, we'd love to hear from you.A little bit about usHere at Hannah's House, we're driven by our purpose toprovide care, comfort and joy to every child, young person and their families from diagnosis through to recovery, bereavement and beyondWe offer a range of services and support including:Seamlessly transitioning from hospital to home-based careOffering planned short-term day or overnight respiteExpert care for children with complex health needs while they're at schoolAssisting with daily living in alignment with children and young people's NDIS PlanCrafting play plans that aid in children and young people's developmentExtending emergency or crisis support in times of heightened necessityDelivering palliative care and end-of-life respite Job Description Clinical Support ResponsibilitiesCandidates must haverecent clinical experience (within the last 6-12 months)in the following areas:PEJ/PEG feeding supportHigh flow oxygen administrationPersonal CareExperience working with babies and toddlers, or lived experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of their needsUnderstands the rights of people with disabilities, and a commitment to inclusion, person-centred support, and enhancing quality of lifeProfessional confidence and initiative including:High level of confidence and interpersonal skills.Proactive approach to clinical care and social engagement.Ability to take initiative in both routine and complex situationsStrong understanding of professional boundariesAbility to maintain these boundaries consistently in all interactions.Meaningful InteractionsAs a Support Worker, your role isn't just about care-it's about connection.
You'll be creating safe, joyful environments where children and young people feel seen, heard, and supported.What This Looks Like:Adapt to unique needs:No two children are the same-your role involves tuning in to what works best for our client.Age-appropriate engagement:You'll tailor communication, activities, and emotional support to meet thedevelopmental stage of our clientInteractionas a bridge:Use your interactions to foster trust, encourage expression, and support learning-this could include sensory activities, outdoor games, creative arts, or quiet play.Support emotional wellbeing:Through gentle interaction and responsiveness, you'll help our client navigate their feelings and build confidence.Promote independence:Empower our clientto do things on their own, using guided choices and encouragement based on their ability and interestsCertificate III in Individual Care or Certificate IV inDisability CareFull unrestricted Australia driver's licenseMandatory RequirementsIf your application is successful, Hannah's House will require the following documentation prior to commencement:National Police ClearanceWA Working with Children CheckFirst AidHLTAID011/CPR HLTAID009Manual Handling HLTWHS002 or HLTWHS005Evidence of right to work in AustraliaChild Safety CommitmentHannah's House is a child safe organisation withzero tolerance for any form of child abuse.
