Our client is a leading manufacturer of branded and private label cereals and healthy snacking in Australia. With an assertive, continual growth trajectory, the vision is to develop the brands to meet the needs of consumers by bringing better-for-you options to every pantry. This ambitious growth strategy will be delivered by broadening exposure in existing categories, delivering innovative NPD into new categories and creating efficiencies through modern manufacturing processes.

Role

As General Manager - Marketing, you will be responsible for spearheading the marketing and brand strategy across the portfolio, driving growth and capability for this business and bringing these brands to life. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive short and longer-term growth while inspiring the marketing team who will deliver it.

The key requirements for this role are to:

- Lead and motivate the marketing, broader product and commercial teams.
- Develop a strong business and marketing strategy across the product categories and customers.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Work closely with product development to develop alignment and enhance product categories and drive new growth opportunities.
- Set and manage annual functional budgets.
- Mange your marketing team to develop a highly accountable and performance based group.

Background and Experience:
You will:

- Be tertiary qualified with 10+ year's experience across marketing and product development.
- Be able to demonstrate experience building sales volume in existing markets through marketing, product and sales strategies.
- Possess strong FMCG pedigree, with high level commercial and analytical skills.
- Be able to develop executive strategies based on marketing insights and consumer trends.
- Possess strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to motivate and drive a team and influence and engage a broad group of stakeholders.
- Work closely with the MD you will have experience developing and executing a strategy.
