OverviewWe are seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join Boeing Defence Australia Finance.
This role focuses on project cost control management and reporting to support projects across the BDA Portfolio.
It offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse daily challenges and exposure to the broader Boeing Enterprise and future career growth.
Boeing's Finance professionals guide critical business decisions and develop solutions for aviation and aerospace products, technologies and services that make a difference.ResponsibilitiesProvide high-level support to the Finance team and collaborate with the Project and scheduling teams.Analyze Cost and Schedule performance, communicate financial insights and project status to internal and external stakeholders.Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with cost account managers.Develop and maintain financial models, comprehensive reports and dashboards to monitor project performance.Ensure financial compliance and accuracy in collaboration with project teams.Support the month end process with the required journals and reconciliations, including all required reporting.Support estimating and pricing activities.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Provide training and mentoring of other staff within the team.QualificationsThe successful candidate will ideally have knowledge across some or all of the following areas:Bachelor degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforce.Relevant experience in a project accounting, management accounting or cost control role.Advanced Excel skills, including PowerPivot and dashboard management.Ability to adapt to different situations, be proactive and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlines.Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial aspects of diverse projects.Experience in estimating and pricing of varying complexity.Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and use of Earned Value Management Systems for project financial management.Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.About Boeing Defence AustraliaBoeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.
