My Federal government client is seeking an Executive Officer (EL1) for a 6-month non-ongoing contract.

As the Executive Officer to the Chief People Officer, you will:

- Support and advise the CPO and People Division to implement strategic and operational initiatives
- Prepare correspondence, briefs, documentation, reports and submissions, including on complex and/or sensitive issues and drive work to completion in a timely manner
- Identify and address potential opportunities, risks and emerging issues across the People Division.
- Oversee, review, revise and report on the functions, activities and efficiency of the People Division.
- Manage preparation for People Division's communications, forums and events, with support from the Executive Assistant
- Provide a central point of contact and facilitation point for departmental employees and key stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements and initiatives that support the CPO, HR Branch's, etc.
- Provide day-to-day support and management to the Executive Assistant, with support from the CPO, including building capability through identifying development opportunities, providing mentoring and coaching and giving effective feedback.
- Demonstrated experience in executive coordination and support in a high-profile environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in management and stakeholder engagement
