**The Opportunity:
As a Technical Officer, you will join a diverse and energetic team collaborating on a range of research projects mainly focusing on disease screening for a range of foliar pathogens. You will be involved in a mixture of laboratory, controlled environment, and field activities for generating inoculum, establishing and maintaining epidemics in the field and conducting field trials.

What we are looking for (Qualifications, registrations, experience):
You must possess a:
A relevant diploma or higher qualification in Applied Science, Rural Science or Rural Techniques from a recognised tertiary institution
Current 'C' class driver licence

Ideally, you will have knowledge of and experience in the identification of foliar winter cereal diseases, inoculum increase and assessing winter cereal diseases under field or controlled environment conditions.

You will have a keen eye for detail, great time management and effective problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude, to contribute to our close-knit and connected team.
