JBS Carriers also develops cost control and economy-of-scale mechanisms to optimize operational efficiencies.About the RoleBased at Riverview and reporting to General Manager, JBS Carriers team currently recruiting a pragmatic and experienced Financial Controller to join our senior leadership team.Serving as a business partner to the Management team, your key responsibilities will include:Providing support on all matters relating to performance and financial processesReviewing, collecting and recording data for preparation of timely and accurate weekly/monthly results/reportsReviewing and preparing journals and general ledger reconciliationsReviewing and preparing month-end reports including analysis of operating costsReviewing and preparing the site budget annuallyLiaising with Senior Management and managing queriesAnalysing standard to actual cost variancesIdentifying challenges and opportunities and recommending corrective action as indicated by performance to meet cost performance targetsInterim and annual external auditsManaging the day-to-day responsibilities including report generation, data entry, cost coding, ledger entry, reconciliation and trouble shootingAbout YouTertiary accounting qualifications and professional membership (CA or CPA)Experience in a similar Financial Controller position within a large business (ideally 5+ years experience)SAP experience desirableStrong commercial acumen to ensure data-informed decision makingAbility to prioritise and multi-taskAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesAbility to identify basic cause and effect relationships with strong analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter with demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environmentEnergetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvementWhy work for JBS Australia?
