We are recruiting for a commercially astute Financial Controller to join a high-performing organisation in the entertainment and hospitality sector. This is a full-time permanent role, based in Brisbane's CBD, and offers the chance to contribute at a strategic level within a large, ASX-listed business. About the Role:

As the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for the delivery of general accounting services, ensuring timely month-end close, high-quality reporting, audit preparedness, and compliance with statutory requirements. This leadership role will also see you supporting a high-performing team, driving a culture of collaboration, and implementing process enhancements across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, GL integrity, reconciliations, and P&L review
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, including management reports, balance sheets, and analysis
  • Oversee audit processes and ensure compliance with ASX and statutory reporting requirements
  • Support the development of accounting policies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and manage a team of qualified accountants and finance professionals

What We're Looking For:
  • CA/CPA qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years' experience in a senior financial accounting or financial controller role
  • Demonstrated experience in ASX-listed environments (essential)
  • Strong ERP system knowledge (Oracle or similar) and advanced Excel skills
  • Proven leadership ability, stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen
