- As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient, and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology, and virtual health.

**Your new team**:
5 North is a 20-bed unit providing care to patients and consumers admitted under General Medicine in a supportive and safe environment. Working alongside a dynamic multi-disciplinary team we ensure we are providing safe, timely, effective person centred care.

**Your success in this role, will be in your ability to**:

- Provide fair and equitable leadership within the multidisciplinary team
- Delegate, coordinate and supervise staff on each shift
- Identify and manage risks and participate in risk reduction strategies
- Promote professional development and job satisfaction for all staff

**Your new role**:

- Ensure there is provision of high-quality standards of patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team to achieve the desired patient outcomes.
- Assume the responsibilities of the manager maintaining professional and operational standard out of hours.
- Ensure individual patient plans, Estimated Discharge dates, barriers to discharge, next destination are updated on the Patient Journey Board (Electronic Medical Records system) each shift and understands the importance of this workflow to facilitate effective and timely discharge planning and communicates effectively with bed management team
