Embedded Linux Field Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Field Engineer to join our team. This role will involve working with customers to gather requirements and explain our technology.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux and be proficient in coding and scripting languages such as Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
They will also have experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development methodologies.
The ideal candidate will be a competitive, business-focused technologist who is dedicated to team and company wins.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology
Elaborate solutions to propose to prospective clients
Participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux
Convey market requirements to key stakeholders and contribute to development or refinement of generic solutions to unlock market potential
Requirements:
Fluent in Mandarin and willing to travel to China regularly
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Extensive Linux experience, Debian or Ubuntu preferred
Distribution/Packaging experience (deb, rpm, ...)
Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot, ...)
Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Result-oriented, ability to multi-task
Personal drive to meet commitments
Humble learner and quick study
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences
