**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the General Manager, Generation & Development, the Group Manager Asset Engineering & Digital is an influential senior business leadership role that sits within the Generation & Development Leadership Team (GDLT). The incumbent provides Organisational, Cultural and Strategic Leadership as well as significant and demonstrable knowledge, experience, and expertise within the Asset Engineering & Digital discipline to the GDLT, and the wider Energy Supply and Operations (ESO) team to deliver upon Origins Purpose, guided by Origins Values and Leadership Code.

The Group Manager Asset Engineering & Digital is accountable to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are consulted to support effective decisions on the strategy and direction of the Business Unit and the wider business.

The Group Manager Asset Engineering & Digital is also accountable for prioritising, planning, integrating and organising all aspects of all activities of the Group, the Business Unit and wider organisation to ensure alignment and deliver upon of the strategy and business commitments.

Key accountabilities will include:

- Active member of the Leadership team in the Generation & Development Business Unit
- Develop and maintain team budgets and cost management
- Delivery of G&D's Strategy in conjunction with BU Group Managers & Leaders
- Manage and set strategies for Asset Engineering & Digital functions
- Lead and Manage a digitally-enabled transformation that combines new technologies with traditional improvements to provide value across engineering, operations, maintenance, energy efficiency
- Lead, manage and Develop G&D's Digital Capabilities that identify, measure, record, mitigate and / or eliminate production and performance losses
- Identify, lead and manage recruitment and development of emergent talent across Asset Engineering & Digital, G&D and Origin for overall performance and capability development and support succession planning and diversity targets
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of sustainable Asset Strategies including lifecycle plans, preventative and predictive maintenance and strategic spares reviews which ensure the assets can meet their planned production targets over the expected design life at the lowest sustainable life-cycle costs

To be considered for this role you will be an exceptional people and cultural leader, with the ability to interpret business requirements to develop strategies, as well as excellent stakeholder management skills. It is expected you will hold a relevant degree qualification in Engineering, Project, or Management discipline.

You will have, or can show through your work history:

- Senior Management experience (min 5-10yrs)
- Generation/Heavy Industry engineering and process experience (min 5-10yrs)
- Extensive Environmental knowledge (min 5-10yrs)
- Extensive Process Safety knowledge and experience (min 10yrs)
- Significant Industrial Risk Management knowledge and experience (min 10yrs)
- Governance and Assurance knowledge and experience (min 5-10yrs)
- Demonstrable uplift in engagement in teams managed
- Extensive understanding of construction regulatory requirements
- Complex internal and external Stakeholder Management Skills
- Extensive Asset Management experience and knowledge and experience
- Contractor Management
- Risk Management
- Detailed knowledge of large-scale construction project management and EPC contracting strategies
- Ability to transition from strategic to detailed levels where required.
- Exceptional technical and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
