Occupational Hygiene Consultant Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join our team. As a senior occupational hygiene consultant, you will be responsible for identifying and conducting asbestos/Hazmat surveys, asbestos fibre monitoring and fibre counting, providing technical advice on Hazmat and occupational health issues, supervision of asbestos/Hazmat removal, client liaison, quotes, tenders, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive site surveys to identify potential Hazmat risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
Develop and implement effective training programs for clients and employees on Hazmat safety procedures.
Provide expert advice on Hazmat handling, storage, and disposal practices.
Liaise with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored solutions.
Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Requirements:
License to practice as an Asbestos Assessor (LAA) or relevant experience enabling licensure within a brief timeframe.
Proven experience in the HAZMAT industry with relevant qualifications.
Strong consulting background with excellent writing and communication skills.
Hazmat survey experience and valid driver's license.
Understanding of reporting requirements and project management principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Full working rights in Australia or Australian Citizenship.
