Overview Solutions Architect - Public Sector, Federal & NSD at Amazon Web Services (AWS). The AWS Solutions Architect team helps customers implement cloud technologies, crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures while partnering with internal teams. This role focuses on the Australian Government community within Public Sector, shaping and delivering on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS cloud services with strategic accounts and managing ongoing technical relationships.
Responsibilities Own technical engagement and ensure success around specific implementation projects; develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad knowledge of how applications and services are built on the AWS platform.
Drive technical solution discussions, dive into details with customer teams, and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
Build relationships with customers and partners; act as a trusted technical advisor to influence stakeholders from technical teams to executives.
Accelerate adoption of AWS services while aligning short-term technology decisions with long-term goals.
Act as a thought leader by educating others, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers/blogs, and running workshops.
Collaborate with engineering and service teams to gather customer feedback and shape product direction.
Work with public sector customers in the Australian Government, National Security and Defence; handle highly sensitive, time-critical work and strategic outcomes.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
4+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.
Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
Experience with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives or clients.
Security & Compliance Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
