OverviewMaroon Outdoor Education Centre is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for students from across Queensland.
This position is offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.26FTE), 20 hours per fortnight, with a regular Friday shift and flexibility around the remaining hours.Maroon Outdoor Education Centre is a unique learning facility located by the Maroon Dam.
We provide outdoor, adventure-based programs that support personal development, teamwork, and resilience for students from across Queensland.
With a strong focus on experiential learning, we offer a supportive and inspiring environment where students grow through challenge and connection to nature.ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain classrooms, accommodation, dining areas, and amenitiesEnsure high standards of hygiene and safetyWork independently and as part of a supportive teamDisposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildingsPlease view the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities.Qualifications and RequirementsCleaning experience (commercial, school, or hospitality)Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitudeKnowledge of safe cleaning practices and Work Health and Safety requirementsHow to ApplyAttach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history)We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
