**About the role**:
The Peer Support Worker, Family Violence plays a vital role in empowering women who are navigating the challenges of family violence. Through dynamic peer support, transformative recovery-oriented learning, and compassionate emotional guidance, you will create a safe haven for women in refuge accommodations and the wider community.

**This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity based in Melton within our Community Services program. The position reports to the Team Leader, Family Violence (Refuge).**

**Key Selection Criteria**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Lived experience of family violence including a strong recovery plan and relevant supports in place and a willingness to share and draw on lived experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with women and children facing a range of complex challenges in relation to family violence, homelessness, health and mental health, drug and alcohol use, trauma, and marginalisation.
- Experience in a peer support role in a community services or not for profit setting.
