About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide administration support for all administration areas within Cancer Care Services (CCS) due to unplanned leave.
About you
- Provide excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a written and oral capacity with all patients, their families and staff.
- Perform a wide range of administrative duties across all areas within CCS, which may include reception, referral centre, scheduling, medical records, billing and call centre/switch activities.
- Ensure bulk billed patients have a valid referral, as per the Medicare Benefits Schedule for Cancer Care Specialists associated with Private Practice Clinics, making certain that these are correctly categorised and assigned the correct appointment class. Follow up with regular finance audits.
- Create, process, track and distribute CECs for CCS Outpatient/Treatment units efficiently and within designated timeframes and according to ieMR Business Rules.
- Work autonomously in the absence of decision makers by establishing work priorities, achieving work targets, contributing to team goals in a changing environment. Solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
