The role Reporting to the Manager, Chief Medical Officer Team, you will manage strategic workforce planning and policy development activities across the Queensland medical workforce and maintain the credentialing and scope of clinical practice portfolio within the team. You will be required to identify, research and analyse medical workforce issues and recommend strategies to enhance the development, supply and management of the medical workforce. You will provide advice to key senior stakeholders on a range of complex and sensitive medical workforce issues (including credentialing and scope of clinical practice) and compile high quality reports, submissions, and plans.
The successful personYou will have knowledge of key medical workforce planning and development issues within Queensland; medical registration, credentialing and scope of clinical practice; and the ability to manage workforce planning and development projects. Your high-level interpersonal and communication skills will be required to effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders. You will have experience in researching and developing health workforce plans and policies and well-developed skills in preparing briefs, reports and correspondence.
