**Position Summary**:
As a Payroll Officer at SAGE, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all employees and contractors are paid accurately and on time, that statutory obligations are met, and confidential payroll records are maintained.
**In this role, you will**:
Receive and review all timesheets for accuracy on a weekly basis
Process weekly and monthly payrolls
Ensure an up to date understanding of relevant pay awards and agreements for SAGE Group employees.
Record and enter data into payroll, job costing and financial management system
Ensure all payroll payments are entered and processed accurately
Prepare payroll bank transfer listing for approval
Maintain employee requests for payroll deductions and salary sacrifice arrangements
Ensure payroll systems are kept appropriately updated in a timely manner,
Distribute pay advices for staff
Prepare reconciliations for WorkCover, payroll tax, superannuation, and any other statutory obligations
Produce standard and ad hoc report as required
Confidentially and securely maintain all employee records
Maintain reconciliations for employee liabilities including annual and long service leave.
Maintain and upload Superannuation payments via the superannuation clearing house.
**Skills and Experience**:
A minimum of five (5) years Payroll experience
Experience managing end to end payroll function including data entry, payroll processing, calculations and reconciliations
Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
