The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an amazing Junior Designer to join the Berlei & Intimates Design team in Pyrmont.

Your new role as a Junior Designer at Berlei
Supporting the Intimates Design Manager to provide technical design and specifications plus support the Senior Construction and Fit technician with fit of garments by:

- Working together with design & technical teams (Australia & ASIA) to ensure consistent approach is developed and maintained with relation to agreed fit process.
- Capture and maintain product-related data/ technical specifications for design and development teams - technical drawings; digital project trackers; PLM system
- Support to develop & maintain garment blocks that ensure consistency of fit for the product.
- Coordinate fittings by preparing garments and attending fit sessions
- Inspect garments on arrival from the factory, matching construction to technical design packs
- Manage critical path of product, samples and associated projects with Design leads
- Own and maintain InSeason Matrix
- Stay up-to-date with shape direction and technical innovation where relevant
- Develop new concepts for shape and fit
- Develop relationships with our international sourcing & supply partners

What experience you can bring to us?
- A degree in fashion based course / pattern making
- An innovative and creative approach to design & development
- Intermediate to High level experience in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite
- Curiosity and team player capability
- A proactive and collaborative style
- Understanding of patternmaking and grading
- Passion for building, developing and optimising process and practice with sustainability and community in mind
