**The Position**

**Hours**: Up to 112 hours per fortnight (across multiple positions)

**Role Description**

The role is to provide an exemplary customer service to visitors at the Bendigo Hospital Atrium Reception along with the full range of switchboard duties including activing emergency procedures.

Excellent communication skills and empathetic interpersonal skills are essential. Sound knowledge and understanding of switchboard operations with previous experience in a health care / medical practice environment is desirable.

The position will require, when needed, the ability to change from one area to another at short notice and to backfill unplanned leave.

The position requires the flexibility to work shift work including day, evenings, nights, weekends and additional shifts if required.

**The Team**

The ICT Communications & Billings team is responsible for all telephony requirements at Bendigo Health, providing service desk support for communication devices along with processing invoicing from various telecommunications providers. The Reception team is the primary point of contact for patients, visitors and caregivers.
