**The role**

We are looking for a casual paralegal to join our New Energy practice group in Sydney. As a casual paralegal in the team, you can expect to assist with research, drafting memos, advices and thought leadership and conducting due diligence and first reviews of agreements.

**About you**

We are looking for someone who:

- has an interest in renewable energy, sustainability and the energy transition;
- who is either studying (final or second last year of university) or has completed their law degree;
- is available to work at least two days per week;
- has good academic credentials;
- wants a supportive, high performing team culture;
- values being part of a team, takes initiative, accepts responsibility for solving problems and delivering outcomes;
- is a curious, life-long learner who is open to change, trying new things and wants to develop, not just as a professional, but as a person; and
- is comfortable in ambiguous situations, who is happy to explore new ideas and figure out a way through.

The Hamilton Locke New Energy team is at the forefront of the evolution of the Australian renewable energy industry and advises on the development, funding, contracting and delivery of market leading new energy projects and the energy transition.

We have deep experience advising clients across all aspects of the renewable energy sector both in Australia and internationally.

Our clients operate across the renewable energy spectrum including storage, solar, wind, hydrogen, hydroelectricity, carbon sequestration and energy trading sectors to make the world a better, more sustainable place.
