Bearing Inspector

**The Opportunity** - We're on the lookout for a passionate Railway Bearing Inspector to join our newly acquired bearing reconditioning business in Auburn, Sydney. If you love working with your hands and have an eye for detail, this could be the perfect role for you. As a Bearing Inspector, you'll inspect and recondition railway bearings and axle boxes to meet our customers' specifications.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Disassembling railway bearings and related products
- Washing and prepping bearings for inspection and reconditioning
- Inspecting, measuring, and recording data
- Assessing bearings for re-qualification and reconditioning
- Grinding, polishing, and repairing bearings
- Conducting scheduled quality checks on bearings, axle boxes, and spherical bearings
- Reassembling bearings and railway products
- Ensuring reconditioned bearings meet customer specifications
- Hitting daily production targets on time
- Following OH&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintaining tools, measuring equipment, and machinery
- Verifying calibration of precision measuring equipment
- Handling the packing, dispatching, and receiving of goods

**What We're Looking For**
- A keen eye for detail
- Computer Literacy
- Experience in bearing reconditioning is a plus, but not a must—training will be provided
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A forklift licence
- Commitment to being at work every day on time
- Enjoyment of working in a manufacturing-type workshop with a friendly team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
