**About the Team**
The Infrastructure and Place (IP) Division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation multi-billion dollar program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. The role sits within the Pinch Points Program, Easing Sydney Congestion within Sydney Program Delivery.
The Easing Sydney Congestion Program is building a sustainable legacy by delivering the largest single series of infrastructure investments in New South Wales history. The program is responsible for delivering targeted improvements across Sydney's Road network, with a focus on operational efficiency through brownfield intersection improvements, smart technology, assisting innovation and program delivery across Sydney.
Since 2015, the NSW Government has committed over $1.5 billion to the delivery of Pinch Points Programs, $600 million for technology driven projects and $460 million to public transport improvements.

**The Opportunity**
Right now, we have a **Permanent Full-time** opportunity for a Surveillance Officer to join the Easing Sydney's Congestion Program within Sydney Project Delivery in Infrastructure and Place. Easing Sydney Congestion is based at Paramatta, NSW office**. **The Surveillance Officer role will be based at our project sites, which may be located throughout Greater Sydney. The Surveillance Officer manages routine surveillance activities and assists in complex surveillance activities and nominated contract works for the administration of brownfield road and intersection upgrade construction works. This is done to ensure the delivery in accordance with client time, quality and scope requirements.
**What you will be involved in**:
- Provide a routine surveillance capability in support of Agency works in order to verify that work has been performed in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and processes.
- Monitor and influence development partner progress against agreed milestones and deliverables to support the Agency's program of work.
- Assist in the preparation and assessment of project and contract documentation, as required, to support project/ contract engineers and managers in the conduct of best practice project/ contract management and works delivery.
- Maintain accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose recording of surveillance activities being carried out in order to maintain auditability and traceability of Agency works.
- Exercise Agency Delegations on site in order to represent the needs of the Agency to delivery partners and provide in situ Agency support to delivery partners.
- Provide technical advice and escalate technical issues to project and contract engineers and/ or managers as required or requested, in order to support best practice project/ contract management and works delivery.

Knowledge of quality systems and procedures will be critical to your success in assisting internal and external stakeholders and contractors to deliver projects within agreed timeframes, cost, quality, and scope.
