About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Fitter Operator to join our Stapylton Cans Plant.
This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating shift roster.12-hour shifts, Day - 6am – 6pm and Night - 6pm – 6am.Week 1 – 4 x Night shifts, Week 2 – 3 x Day shifts, 3 x Night shifts, Week 3 – 4 x Day shifts, Week 4 – no shiftsWeekends and Public Holidays as part of roster paid at penalty rates.Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.Operate a production line to ensure minimal downtime.Set up and fine-tune machines for optimal productivity.Work with high-speed manufacturing equipment, understanding production demands.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.What You'll BringMechanical Fitter trade qualification or similar trade with maintenance fitting experience.Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in manufacturing environments.Willingness to operate a production line and work with the production team.Passion for your trade and commitment to improvements.A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
