Rabobank Australia is hiring a Senior Sustainability Analyst.
Rabobank is the world's leading specialist in food and agribusiness banking.
The Sustainability team in Australia translates global sustainability ambitions into local strategy, delivering action through knowledge programs, partnerships, transition finance solutions, and policy implementation.
The role sits within the sustainability strategy and business integration function and supports strategy development for sustainable finance, client transition, partnerships, knowledge programs and integrating sustainability into credit assessments.
The role also involves drafting the modern slavery statement, overseeing the modern slavery action plan, supporting policy reviews, local and global reporting, project management for local initiatives, coordinating the sustainability communications plan, and managing team administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Support the co-ordination and execution of sustainability projects, pilots, training and other initiatives.
Co-ordinate the Modern Slavery working group with stakeholders in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
Draft the Modern Slavery statement and engage stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
Implement and oversee the delivery of the Modern Slavery action plan.
Develop project plans and provide project management for key sustainability initiatives.
Lead the administrative functions of the team.
Support analysis and input into Country x Sector Plan reporting requirements and related projects.
Support communications and engagement activities of the Sustainability team across the business.
Coordinate the policy review process with local stakeholders and subject-matter experts, and engage with global partners.
Provide a range of administrative tasks for projects, pilots, IT and meetings.
To be successful in the role, you will have
Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualifications in environmental science, agricultural science, sustainability or related disciplines.
Experience in the finance sector.
Experience in sustainability analysis and reporting.
Experience in development of sustainability strategies and plans.
Understanding of ESG policies and relevant regulations, guidelines, and reporting frameworks.
High level of proficiency in MS Office, Power BI and data analysis.
Project and workflow management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
