Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Hunter New England Local Health District Full time

Join the Wallsend Health Campus — where compassionate care meets purpose-driven administration.

**Remuneration**: $34.46 - $35.54 per hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging
**Location**: Wallsend, Awabakal Country
**Employment Type**: Temporary Part Time
**Position Classification**: Administration Officer Level 3

**Application Close**: Sunday, 27th July 2025

**About the Role**:
We're looking for a committed and detail-oriented Administration Officer to support our Out of Home Care (OOHC) Paediatric Clinic, a vital service dedicated to improving the health outcomes of vulnerable children and young people across Hunter New England.

Based at Wallsend Health Campus, you'll join a passionate, multidisciplinary team that delivers allied health, nursing, telehealth, and paediatric outreach clinics across the district. Your role will be pivotal in keeping this high-volume, high-impact service running smoothly — supporting clinicians, managing referrals and correspondence, and providing top-tier admin coordination behind the scenes.

This position plays a key role in our team's success — and in the lives of the children and families we support.

**In this role, you'll**:

- Provide administrative support to OOHC paediatric services, including appointment scheduling and record maintenance
- Liaise with carers, caseworkers, and clinicians to coordinate care
- Manage referrals, clinical documents, and sensitive communications in line with privacy legislation
- Support clinic planning, correspondence, and overall service flow
- Work collaboratively with dispersed staff while remaining supported by on-site management

**About You**:
You're a confident, compassionate admin professional who thrives in a service-focused environment. You bring strong communication skills, a high level of computer literacy, and the maturity to manage sensitive information in a busy, emotionally complex setting.

You're also adaptable — you understand that while the initial role is for two days (preferably Thursdays and Fridays), there may be future opportunity to increase hours based on team needs.

**You must have**:

- Proven admin experience in clinic or health service settings
- Proficiency across MS Word, Excel, and database systems
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- A calm, team-oriented approach to high-pressure work environments
- Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent experience

**Why Join Us?**

This isn't just an admin job — it's a chance to make a difference.

At Wallsend, you'll be part of a fun, friendly, and fiercely dedicated team that genuinely values what they do. We know what we're doing matters, and we support one another to deliver the best care possible — even behind the scenes.

**What we offer**:

- A role that contributes to better outcomes for vulnerable children
- Ongoing support from experienced clinical and admin leaders
- Salary packaging and leave entitlements (pro-rata)
- Inclusion on an eligibility list for future roles and internal opportunities
- A workplace grounded in cultural respect, equity, and teamwork
