**About the position**:
Based at our Lakemba site with an immediate start, as the People and Culture Consultant you will take ownership of a dedicated portfolio, providing broad HR support to the business. Within the role, you can expect to be involved in all HR areas while supporting more comprehensive projects and change initiatives. The environment is fast-paced, and every day will be different.
**You will be responsible for**:
Providing HR consulting, recommendations and solutions covering multiple areas of Human Resources, including employment/education training, employee development, communications, compensation, benefits, record administration, affirmative action, employee or labour relations, organisational or resource planning, and organisational change management.
Providing interpretation and counsel to management regarding HR policies, programs and best practices.
Researching HR issues and developing quality effective solutions to resolve business needs/issues.
Analyse HR data to develop effective data-driven solutions and collaborate closely with stakeholders to enhance organisational performance.
Support stakeholders from operational day-to-day support to strategic initiatives aimed at driving engagement and high performance.
Supporting managers in building high-performing teams and implementing retention strategies
**About you**:
**You will bring the below experience and be able to**:
Demonstrated successful experience working in an HR consulting role in a multi-layered environment, preferably in an aged-care related setting.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice, develop options, make sound judgments, and solve problems to support stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of HR organisational policies and practices.
Comprehensive understanding of employment related legislation, codes of practice, and relevant standards.
Demonstrate experience in policy development, and compliance.
**Qualifications**:
Tertiary qualifications in a Human Resources related field.
A recognised qualification or equivalent in Training would be desirable.
**Skills**:
Excellent influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to challenge people, situations, and current thinking creatively and effectively.
Strategic problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cultural change.
Team building, consulting, and facilitation skills.
Expert knowledge of HR policies workplace best practice.
Strong relationship management and consulting skills.
Excellent communication skills and highly service orientated.
Knowledge of current employment legislation and 'Employer of Choice' practices.
