Illawarra Christian School is seeking a dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join our vibrant educational community.
While this position is currently offered as a 0.4 FTE maternity leave placement for 12 months, there is genuine potential for increased hours and ongoing employment for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Physics to students in Years 7-12, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the subject.
Collaborate with fellow educators to create engaging and differentiated learning experiences tailored to diverse student needs.
Support the academic and pastoral development of students, contributing to their holistic growth.
Actively participate in the broader Christian educational community, promoting a Christ-centered worldview.
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices and remain current in educational trends.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
A qualified Science teacher with experience or a keen interest in Physics education.
Current NESA registration and accreditation.
Strong classroom management skills and a variety of effective pedagogical strategies.
A committed Christian actively involved in a local church, capable of integrating a biblical perspective into teaching.
A dedication to professional growth and a passion for independent Christian education.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A demonstrated willingness to engage in school community activities through extracurricular programs.
A valid, paid Working with Children Check.

Salary and Benefits
Remuneration will be in accordance with the Christian Schools NSW Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023, based on qualifications and experience.
