Career Growth : Opportunities for permanent positions through our Temp to Perm program.About You : Hold a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Work, Social Work or similar (or be studying towards)Australian Drivers Licence (P2 or higher)Blue card & Yellow cardCurrent First Aid & CPR certificate3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth WorkerAbout the Position : As a casual Residential Youth Worker with Edmen, you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who are living in out-of-home care.
Working with some of Australia's best youth service providers, every day grants you a unique experience and adventure, empowering children and young people to live their best lives, in a nurturing and safe environment.Shift times (these may vary) :PM : 1600 – 2200 + Sleepover + 0600-0800Active : 2200-0600Our rosters are done in advance, which grants you some stability working in a casual environment.
We also have emergency and ad hoc shifts available each week.Responsibilities : Your responsibilities will include :Establish a secure and nurturing home environment for at-risk youngpeopleOffer guidance and support with personal care requirements including meal assistance and hygieneroutinesProvide transportation for school, appointments and communityactivitiesFoster the development of skills and socialisation within the local community, alongside promoting positive pro-social peerinteractionsSupport in the administration of medications and associated reporting requirements for children on Child Protection ordersProvide trauma-informed care to young people who display complex behavioural issues and traumaticbackgroundsEngage in the Trauma Recovery practice framework and undertake Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within the first three months of your employmentApply Now and shape your work-life balance on your own terms
