**About You**
- Hold an industry related qualification of a Certificate IV or higher in a Community Services related field such as Youth work, Community Services, Mental Health, Disabilities and Child, Youth and Family Intervention
- Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher)
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- Minimum 3 months experience as a Residential Youth Worker

To be successful in a FIFO youth worker position in Central Queensland, you will need to have a passion for working with young people, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote or isolated environment.

Fly in fly out (FIFO) youth worker positions in Central Queensland (Emerald & Rockhampton) typically involve working with young people in remote or isolated communities on a rotational basis (5 days on & 5 days off). These positions are being offered to support young people in communities that have a restricted workforce. Edmen Community Staffing Solutions has an opportunity for experienced youth workers to fly out from a metropolitan area.

As a FIFO youth worker, you will be responsible for providing support, guidance, and mentoring to young people in these communities. This may involve developing and delivering programs and activities that promote social and emotional well-being, building positive relationships with young people and their families, and providing practical assistance with daily living activities.

**Some key duties and responsibilities of a FIFO youth worker may include**:

- Developing and implementing youth programs and activities that promote social and emotional well-being
- Providing mentoring and support to young people to help them achieve their goals and aspirations
- Building positive relationships with young people and their families
- Providing practical assistance with daily living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene
- Liaising with other service providers, such as health professionals and educators, to ensure a holistic approach to supporting young people
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of youth work activities.
