About the role
The Sonographer Trainee Clinician is an eligible HP3 clinician who is completing a postgraduate diploma in medical ultrasound under the supervision of experienced sonographers.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Deliver medical imaging services commensurate with training and experience, within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, local protocols, policies, procedures, workplace instructions, and relevant legislation.
Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision-making under the professional guidance of a more senior clinician.

Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remaining vaccinated against, certain vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the policy.
Hold at least a tertiary degree qualification enabling enrolment in an accredited postgraduate medical ultrasound program by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register.
Must be registered as a student sonographer with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register.
If a Radiographer, the successful applicant must also:
Have, or be eligible to have, current registration with AHPRA.
Have, or be eligible to have, a Licence to Use Irradiating Apparatus issued by Radiation Health, Queensland.
